We're investigating degraded app performance resulting in longer response times and some timeouts. Engineers have identified the root cause and are working to resolve.

We noticed intermittent and degraded performance on our API and in our UI on Monday morning. This coincided with traffic picking up after the weekend, from 4am - 10am EST. We identified the issue (it was related to the scheduled maintenance performed on Sunday morning, and with traffic picking back up over the weekend). We deployed a fix and site performance returned to normal.

We'll be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a database upgrade. During this time, API clients will receive "503 - Service Unavailable" responses. This should be complete within an hour.
